Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

These terms govern your use of the Home Visit Vet website at home-visit-vet.co.uk and the veterinary services provided by Rachel Taylor, trading as Home Visit Vet, Coventry, West Midlands ("we", "us", "our"). By using this website or engaging our services you agree to these terms.

Our services

We provide a mobile veterinary service including home consultations, vaccinations, repeat prescriptions, and humane home euthanasia for cats, dogs, rabbits and small animals in Coventry and surrounding areas. All clinical services are provided by a veterinary surgeon registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services where we believe it is in the best interests of animal welfare, client safety, or professional standards.

Appointments

Appointments are subject to availability and are confirmed by us in writing or by telephone. We will make every reasonable effort to attend at the agreed time, but we cannot guarantee exact arrival times due to the nature of home visits.

If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee where insufficient notice is given.

We are not an emergency service. In the event of an emergency outside of our opening hours, please contact your nearest out-of-hours emergency veterinary practice.

Pricing and payment

Current prices are listed on our website and are subject to change. Prices for visits outside our standard service area may include a travel supplement. Payment is due at the time of the visit. We accept cash and bank transfer; please ask about payment options when booking.

Prices displayed on the website are indicative. Final prices will be confirmed at the time of booking or visit.

Clinical responsibility

All clinical decisions are made by a qualified veterinary surgeon in the best interests of your animal. We will provide advice and treatment based on a clinical examination and the information you provide. You remain responsible for your pet's ongoing care and for following any clinical advice given.

We cannot guarantee outcomes of treatment. Veterinary medicine involves inherent uncertainties and individual animals may respond differently to treatment.

Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your pet and their medical history
  • Ensure a safe environment for our vet to carry out the visit
  • Ensure your pet is appropriately restrained during the visit
  • Inform us of any relevant factors that may affect the safety of the visit

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the use of this website is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Website use

This website is provided for information purposes. We make reasonable efforts to keep the content accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that information is error-free or complete. Website content does not constitute clinical advice.
